Highlights

On an adventure in eastern Ireland

Ireland, the land of vikings, of "friendly and welcoming people," with its vibrant capital city... Have you been bitten by Irish culture? Can't you wait to discover the country with all its rivers and mountains? Do you have enough basic knowledge of English to engage in common, easy conversations? Then our language holiday in Dublin is definitely something for you.

We explore this city in an active way. We discover the most beautiful spots of this mysterious city: Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick 's Cathedral... The Dublin Express takes us to a secret final destination. For this we have to read the map and look up the train hours ourselves. One morning we opt for a guided tour, you can choose for example to visit Dublin Castle or Trinity College, enjoy a hop on hop off tour or a Viking Splash Tour (not included).

Of course, there is also time for relaxation. We head toward the pretty coastal town of Howth for a walk and experience an adventurous afternoon of cycling through Phoenix Park and along the River Liffey.

One of the most competitive activities of the week is undoubtedly the escape room! And there's more: one specific evening, a local takes us to the creepiest spots in town on a Ghost Tour.

A hostel in the city center

We are staying at Generator Dublin, a modern youth hostel in the city center, within walking distance of all major attractions. The comfortable rooms of 6 are equipped with bunk beds and each room has a private bathroom.

Delicious dining out

We stay at half-board. In the morning there is a continental breakfast with occasional extras: fruit, eggs, bacon, ...

In the afternoon we picnic with a sandwich, wrap, salad or piece of pizza (not included in the price).

In the evening, we go out to restaurants: sometimes we choose a trendy Asian, other times we dine in a cozy Italian one or feast on the local fish 'n chips.

Language animation and perfection

The main language during this vacation is English.

We assume that each participant has sufficient basic English skills to participate in common conversations. As for the language perfection formula, the bar is raised. In a playful way, the monitor corrects language mistakes when necessary and encourages participants to take their English to a higher level.

Every 45 minutes you will work with a different monitor in an active way on drama, English music, street interviews, debates, vocabulary games, video, common mistakes....

The names of the language workshops speak for themselves: Debattle, Black Stories, Jungle Speed....

Variation and movement are incorporated in the camp. In this language whirl, learning becomes a pleasure, the organization's trademark.

With super fun teambuilding activities, we overcome barriers to speak English. The positive comments with rewards at the end of the week - for both the group and the individual participants - are an extra stimulant.

With CLIP, you don't go on a language trip to sit in a classroom all the time. The city provides the ideal setting for the language workshops. When the weather is nice, the many parks - such as the lively St Stephen's Green - are an ideal location. In addition, we often take to the streets to make contacts with locals. Everywhere the warm-hearted Irish are immediately willing to help and have a chat.

Language camp with varied entertainment

We test our movie knowledge in a movie quiz, unravel the mystery at the real-life cluedo and have fun during a musical evening. During a city search, we follow in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes and solve a disappearance. One specific day we put on our greenest outfit and become real Irishmen. The common thread throughout the day are Irish legends full of mythical characters.

The many parks invite us to practice hip and trendy sports from time to time. We spend one afternoon cycling through the large Phoenix Park and along the Dublin Zoo. We end the week with a party.

City exploration

We explore the city in an active way. One specific morning we have the chocie between a museum tour, a visit to the Dublin Zoo/Dublin Castle or a Viking Splash Tour (not included in the price).

We discover Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, Trinity College, Dublin Castle and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The Dublin Express will take us to a secret final destination. For this we have to read the map ourselves, get into the tourist office and look up the train or bus hours. With the help ofwell-guided activities you take your first steps as an independent globetrotter. We bet this will boost the group spirit.

Of course, there is also time for relaxation. We head toward the pretty coastal town of Howth for a walk and experience an adventurous afternoon of cycling through Phoenix Park and along the River Liffey.

The highlight of the week is the escape room. By solving riddles and puzzles we try to escape from different themed rooms like real Houdinis. One evening a local takes us through the creepiest places in town for a ghost tour. His stories make us all shiver.

On the last day, you can spend an hour's shopping on Grafton Street, where street performers provide background music.
