Highlights

Sunny Malta

Our language vacation in Malta has always been one of our showpieces. Especially for 17-year-olds, this is a top vacation! They can let their hair down while perfecting their English.

We provide a wide range of activities: paddle boarding, diving, kayaking, visiting a water park... we do it all.

We explore the capital Valletta, organize a day trip to sister island Gozo and enjoy a barbecue and a beautiful sunset on the beach of Golden Bay. Highlight on the program is undoubtedly the snorkel excursion to the Blue Lagoon!

As a 17-year-old, you have a say in the program and we provide a lot of extras. One afternoon the group itself decides what to plan and one evening we go to St. Julians where we dance in one of the many clubs. Our leaders like to do that occasionally as well , so of course they go along!

A separate formula

As a 17-19-year-old, you have two options in Malta.

OPTION 1: From July 1 to 11 (M01+), August 11 to 21 (M05+) and August 21 to 31 (M06+), there is a separate formula for them in Malta as described below. During these periods they form a separate camp and the emphasis is on island exploration.

OPTION 2: The other periods the 17-19 year olds participate in the regular formulas, but are given a separate approach. For example, they may stay up longer, go out for an evening ... Information about these language vacations can be read here.

A seaside hotel with swimming pool

Who wouldn't want to learn English in a southern climate on an island in the Mediterranean? No English "stiff upper lip" but warm cordiality, no rainy summers butsunny Malta!

We stay at the Buccaneers Boutique Guesthouse a cozy and comfortable guesthouse, located in St. Paul's Bay, in northern Malta. We sleep together with 3 to 5 people in spacious and modern rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning.

An added bonus is the rooftop terrace with swimming pool where we occasionally cool off during language workshops.

Mediterranean and British cuisine

We stay in full board and really enjoy Mediterranean and British cuisine here. In the morning there is a continental breakfast buffet with a variety of cereals, bread and charcuterie, eggs, fruit and yogurt.

At noon, a picnic is on the menu.

In the evening we eat a nice southern menu. We choose from soup, risotto, pasta, chicken, fish, and so on. After the main course, we slide in for dessert. One time we barbecue ourselves on the beach.

Language perfection with English as the spoken language

Here we work around language fluency and correct use of language. English is obviously the language of instruction from rising to bedtime. Everyone agrees that this gives the best results. Sufficient prior knowledge of English is assumed.

With CLIP, you don't go on a language journey to repeat verb conjugations, but to really put the language into practice . This principle certainly applies to the 17-plus formula in Malta. Learning English here happens on the road. We don't miss any opportunity to make contacts with the locals. We talk to them about their country, their lives... Continuous correction of language errors takes place.

Moreover, this language camp is aimed at an older age group that would like to get to know a country thoroughly and experience something while on vacation. Our program makers are aware of this and serve language-in-travel menus to savor.

The activities are really adapted to the country. How about a Malta Express that takes you right across the island, using various means of transportation?

Island exploration

We take one day boat ride to the Blue Lagoonwhere we snorkel in the crystal clear water among the fish. In addition, we explore (Malta Express) the lively capital Valletta and bustling Sliema. On Sunday morning we head to the fishing market of colorful Marsaxlokk and afterwards take a dip in the azure waters of St. Peter's Pool. On the beach of Golden Bay you can enjoy a beautiful sunset after a delicious BBQ.

A topper on the program is a day trip to sister island Gozo, Malta's greener brother. Here we take the hop on hop off bus. We set our own program and head out for a full day. Highlights include the Citadel in the capital, the red sand beach, the miraculous Ta'Pina church or a water sports adventure in Xlendi Bay (subject to supplement).

Local celebrations should not be missing from the program either! Did you know that Malta has 365 churches and almost as many patron saints already? Each village celebrates its patron saint with a festa: this is accompanied by fireworks like you have never seen before. A few years ago, the 17+ group also went to a free concert by David Guetta. Of course, we don't let such occasions pass by.

We also chose a varied program in terms of sports. We keep our balance on SUP-boardsgo canoeing at sea and get a diving initiation. We learn to breathe underwater and "talk" using gestures. We relax in the Splash & Fun Waterpark, an outdoor subtropical swimming pool.

We regularly make time for teambuilding ations and educational language activities. For this we seek the shade of a palm tree or splash in the sea.

As leaders -to-be, we organize a casino for the younger participants from the other camp. One morning we head to the residential care center. We play bingo with the residents and make time for a chat. Heartwarming. (subject to permission)

In the evening we stay upuntil midnight. We watch a movie, do a terrace and get to know each other better. One night we go out in St. Julian's, the party capital of the island.

In this program, there is room for participation. Enjoy a city visit a little longer, determine the choice of that one excursion ... it's all possible, provided the language immersion is respected.
