Highlights

Do you already have a basic knowledge of French that allows you to have a short and easy conversation? Are you ready for a (small) step into the world? Then our language vacation "Explore the world: Wallonie à la carte" is for you.

We are staying at the Provincial Domain of Wégimont, where we are on full board. We work mainly on language fluency. Active regional exploration is an integral part of this CLIP menu with Wavre, Liege and Eupen on the program.

In Wégimont, CLIP puts the emphasis on sports and adventure. Adventurers are sure to get their money's worth here during the night bivouac, the afternoon water fun at Aqualibi and the exciting karting race. Can't get enough? No worries, to end the week we provide a game of laser shooting. Something for everyone!

On a language vacation in a castle

Few youth travel venues stand up to comparison with this fairy-tale castle. This magnificent building is in no way reminiscent of a school. For a CLIP vacation, this is an absolute asset! You will stay in beautiful rooms of 2,3,4,6 or 8 persons. The room allocation is done after extensive contact activities so you can actually choose your "roommates".

In the castle, participants have their own clubhouse, a meeting space cozily decorated with cushions, a sitting area and atmospheric lighting!

Tasty feasting

The castle's kitchen team knows the desires of our young people through years of experience.

The breakfast buffet includes fruit juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, sandwiches, cereal, chocolate, jam, cheese spread....

In the afternoon, we eat a hot meal. We invariably start with nice fresh soup. This is followed by a main course: steak with fries and salad, cordon bleu with fried potatoes and applesauce, roast chicken with mashed potatoes, brochette with rice and ratatouille. For dessert, the castle serves fruit or ice cream, cake, bavarois, pudding....

At 3 p.m. we are regaining our strength with pastry, cake or a bit of fruit.

In the evening there is a hot dish such as spaghetti, lasagna, rice dish with chicken and sweet and sour sauce ... with dessert afterwards.

Language animation with French as the spoken language

We work around language fluency. This approach is called language animation.

On this language course, we assume that each participant has sufficient basic knowledge of French to carry on common conversations. After all, French is the spoken language from getting up until night time. Everyone agrees that this gives the best result to encourage fluency.

Every 45 minutes you work with another monitor in an active way around drama, French music, street interviews, debates, vocabulary games, video, common mistakes... Variation and movementare ingrained in this formula. Therefore, the organization's trademark is: LEARNING BECOMES A PLEASURE.

For example, we organize a language variant of popular board games, such as Dixit. Participants must use their creativity to turn a drawing into a story. Hilarity guaranteed! The names of the language workshops speak for themselves: Dixit, Opération prononciation, Bootcamp, Jeux de rôle à gogo . ..

With super fun teambuilding activities, we overcome barriers to speaking French. The positive comments with rewards at the end of the week - both for the group and the individual participant - are an incentive.

Wallonie à la carte: active regional exploration

Active regional exploration is an integral part of this language vacation. The province of Liège and the land of Herve have a lot of tourist attractions that we take full advantage of. For several days, we set out to get to know the region and its inhabitants better.

Every week we visit Eupen. With the help of locals, we learn not only the language but also discover the region up close. Through well-chosen assignments, speaking French becomes even more fun and real.

With the Liège Express, we cross the city center for an interactive city game whose final destination is secret. Afterwards, we stay in the competition atmosphere for a while during a karting race. Will you be the fastest of the group?

Last but not least, we discover Wavre where we chat with visitors to the weekly market. Afterwards, we jump on the bus towards Aqualibi and get ready for a relaxing afternoon of water fun.

Adventure and regional exploration are important in this formula. Language and sports activities are combined in a playful way: revolutionary and unique. Learning languages has never been easier. The Provincial Domain of Wégimont has all the assets for this at its fingertips:

We live it up on the rowing pond, go on survival trips and challenge each other with crazy assignments. We regularly dive into the outdoor pool for a real language bath.

A topper is the bivouac. We end this atmospheric evening with the guitar and some goodies. Another evening we organize a campfire, of course with marshmallows! A boost for the team spirit!

Wegi+ aqua 5
Wegi+ laser 2

Our adventure culminates at the karting track. Will you win the race?

Socially, the oldest participants organize a life-like cluedo for the younger participants. Fun guaranteed!

During our finale of the week, a laser shoot, we fan the competition one last time. Be careful because you can't trust anyone and the opposing team has lots of places to hide!

Each participant chooses a theme to further customize the camp (included). During 4×2 hours and 1×1 hour you can choose between dance and movement(Alors on danse), omnisport(Les Jeux Olympiques), the mix is the max(Le mix) and Culture Club.

Alors on danse (B02+, B05+, B08+)

During swinging workshops you will prepare a dance show. How about a session of salsa, hip-hop or jazz?

Les Jeux Olympiques (every week)

Every day you choose from a variety of sports, from athletics over swimming and baseball to petanque. A training session is followed by a friendly match. Show what you learned during the training sessions and go for a medal in the one and only Jeux Olympiques. Remember the Olympic thought: participating is more important than winning!

Le mix (B03+, B06+, B09+)

This option offers something for everyone. Half a day we animate the youngest participants as leaders-to-be, the second session we join the participants of the Olympics option, while the other day we get to work with TikTok or Instagram.

Media Club (B01+, B04+, B07+)

Making short films with TikTok, pulling the ideal Instagram photo, writing the script for a lip-dub together with your leader and then getting to work with the camera, ... you'll learn it all in this initiation multimedia. Want to bet you'll become a real media pro?
