Highlights

Do you love sports and adventure? And have you already mastered enough basic French to express yourself in short, easy conversations? Then our French-speaking ski holiday in Italy is definitely for you.

With 1200km of slopes in the beautiful Dolomites, we are on the slopes every day from 9am to 4pm. This combined with fun entertainment activities, a torchlight quest, a casino evening and so much more. We bet that both your French and your ski or snowboard techniques will improve significantly!

Modern hotel with delicious Italian cuisine

Pension Sonnenhof in Raas is a wonderful youth accommodation with spacious rooms (3 to 6 persons), modern sanitary facilities in the room and a very extensive room infrastructure, centrally located in South Tyrol between Kronplatz and Sella Ronda.

The formula provides full board:

  • An extensive breakfast buffet in the morning
  • a picnic and snack for the road on the slopes
  • In the evening, we slide in for a four-course meal. After an extensive salad buffet and a starter (pasta, cheese croquettes, lasagna, soup, risotto...) there is a freshly prepared main course. We finish the meal with a delicious dessert: apple strudel, tiramisu, pastries, ice cream....

Language holidays in a heavenly ski resort

During the day you will receive ski or snowboard guidance in French from our own monitors. They aim for a good mix between exercises and exploration of the ski area.

Many ski (and language) formulas are limited to one mountain with limited skiing opportunities. CLIP really pulls out all the stops on this blissful ski area (1200 km of slopes) for this language camp.

During the crocus vacations, we choose a 6-day ski pass. At Easter, we opt for a 7-day pass.

First we go to Kronplatz where we spend three/four days skiing and snowboarding. With this, however, you have seen far from everything. The remaining days we head to Vals - Meranzen or Plose (not at Easter): two charming areas with wonderful sunshine and slopes.

Top of the bill is the impressive Sella Ronda (one day at Crocus, two days at Easter), a huge ski area of more than 600 km of slopes, with stunning views of the Dolomites. You can make a real marathon of it and do the circuit around the Sella. Thanks to a unique concatenation of slopes and elevators, you can make a circle without ever doing the same run.

For the more daring there is a snowpark in Kronplatz, a mega project with kickers, rails and boxes for freeriders and snowboarders.

An absolute asset is the snow security throughout the ski season.
The snow heights of the slopes can be found here: Bruneck, Corvara.

On the way back we visit a typical northern Italian town, Brunico or Brixen and soak up local culture. A delicious Italian ice cream is part of this package! This trip to South Tyrol is clearly more than just a sporty journey!

Language internship with language animation on the road

With such a wonderful ski area, it would be a shame to host French language animations indoors. In Kronplatz, the monitors are real "traveling teachers. All available time on the slopes is used without skimping on skiing and snowboarding hours. Why not do a language activity on the elevator ? Even the bus rides are brightened up with French chansons, among other things. Ambiance guaranteed, even on the way!

French language immersion on language holiday

We work here around language fluency (youngest age group) and correct use of language (oldest age group). French is of course the language of instruction from rising to bedtime. Everyone agrees that this gives the best results.

In the language workshops, you work in an active way on drama, French music, debates, vocabulary games, common mistakes... Variation and movement are ingrained in this formula. In this language whirl, learning becomes fun, the organization's trademark.

On the bus to and from the slopes we do language animation, with the "Bus Boum Boum" for example. In the afternoon we make time for an hour of language workshop on the slopes. Ever heard of "Snowboard Bis" or "Avalanche"? In the evening we organize activities at the hotel.

Top of the bill is the Kronplatz Express. After a day full of mysterious riddles on and around the slopes, in the evening we set off on a dropping/torch quest. Who will be the first to find their way back?

Optional tobogganing can be chosen (supplement payable locally).
