At the end of your practical internship, there will be an evaluation. If you receive a positive assessment for both the theoretical and practical parts, you will receive a certificate as a youth worker, recognised by the Flemish Government.

At camp, many participants become interested in becoming monitors and apply to participate in the training programme afterwards. These are our “internal” candidates. In addition, a growing group of “external” candidates are finding their way into the CLIP family, including more and more French monitors. This creates an “explosive” mix of young and old, second language speakers and native speakers.
Find out below what steps you need to take as an internal or external candidate.
If, as a participant at camp, you feel like becoming a monitor yourself, then you are an internal candidate.
If you enjoyed CLIP camps as a participant and are ready for the next step, become a monitor.
The monitor group consists of more than 300 enthusiastic volunteers, young and old, Dutch-speaking and French-speaking.
What unites CLIP employees is their team spirit, commitment and enthusiasm to make every activity a top experience in a playful environment. Giving our participants that wow feeling is what it’s all about.
How can I participate?
A. Teacher
Teachers have an excellent knowledge of French/English. You do not need to be a professional teacher. After all, a CLIP holiday cannot be compared to a lesson at school or another language holiday.
B. Animator
The animator takes over from the teacher and takes the participants under his wing for a varied activity in which the language component still plays a major role.
As an animator, you are also familiar with the CLIP philosophy. This means that the young people must also learn and use the language during the animation. The animator ensures that the participants speak the working language (French or English).
As an animator, you also have more than adequate language skills (French and/or English).
C. Cook
CLIP provides its own catering at various locations. This is a definite advantage. No expense or effort is spared to give as many “hungry wolves” as possible a culinary wow experience. Talk about a challenge! To this end, CLIP is looking for employees who can juggle a pinch of energy, a dash of humour and “Our CLIP Cookbook”. No problem if you can’t cook yet. “Learning to cook” is part of this process.
If you applied to become a monitor during the summer, you probably received a letter stating the training dates. It is also possible that the monitor team on site tipped you off as a potential monitor. After the summer, you will probably receive an email with an invitation to the training.
Did you not apply this summer, but would you now really like to become a monitor? Please contact the CLIP office on 016294999 or send an email to moni@clipvakanties.be.
This theoretical internship is conducted entirely in French or English.
During the Easter and/or summer holidays, you will do at least one week of work experience at camp. This may mean that during a camp or before the skiing holiday, you will be called upon to act as a “teacher”, “animator” or “cook” for French and/or English.
Of course, we strive for a healthy age range against the participants. This moni experience requires a great deal of commitment, but it also offers a unique opportunity to continuously improve your language skills. What’s more, the social skills you acquire will certainly come in handy later in life.
As with every CLIP camp, fun and great friends are guaranteed. The office staff prepare the activities in advance down to the last detail. This means you will also have some free time. During this free time, you can enjoy the sun by the pool, go on a bike ride in the area or join a camping trip.
At the end of your practical internship, there will be an evaluation. If you receive a positive assessment for both the theoretical and practical parts, you will receive a certificate as a youth worker, recognised by the Flemish Government.
Are you a teacher (in training) and would you like to entertain or supervise at camps — and share your passion for languages, creativity, cooking, travelling and winter sports?
Are you at least 18 years old? Then apply to become a CLIPmoni via moni@clipvakanties.be. You can work at CLIP as a “teacher”, “animator” or “cook”. You will receive more information about this during the introductory interview.
Please give a brief introduction of yourself, your experience and your motivation.
Are you under 18 years of age? Please contact us and we will discuss the various options with you.
A CLIP employee will contact you within five days and, if you are eligible, you will be invited for an online introductory interview. During this interview, you will receive more information about the organisation and the holidays you wish to participate in.
Before the summer begins, you will meet with the other new external candidates at the office. One of the coordinators will go over the schedule for your first camp with you and introduce you to a number of activities.
If you would like to obtain the youth work animator certificate, please send an email to moni@clipvakanties.be. We will then see if you can join the animator training course at the beginning of November or during the Easter holidays.
