These medieval Hanseatic towns have grown into modern cities filled with architectural gems in and around their historic centres. Their relaxed, liveable urban culture is unmistakable: cosy cafés, delicious pastries, typical street food… it’s no coincidence that the words fika and hygge originate from this region.

Add rugged cliffs, the closeness of the sea and the fortified walls surrounding some towns, and you get a region that feels like a rough exterior with a warm heart.

On this language trip, no classic hotel — instead, a comfortable cruise ship. We sleep on board in 4-person cabins. Breakfast (and lunch when we’re on board) is served at the buffet on deck; in the evening there is an à-la-carte dinner with friendly service.

All cabins are tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, air conditioning and a private bathroom.

The ship itself is a real highlight: not too big, yet equipped with all the facilities of a modern floating holiday world. Restaurants, bars, theatre, swimming pool — everything is just a short walk from your cabin.

On board the MSC Magnifica, you’ll discover the grandeur of medieval trading cities and the rugged cliffs of the Baltic Sea.

In Gdynia, you can still feel the spirit of Solidarność and walk along the longest wooden pier in Europe.

In Riga, with its medieval UNESCO-listed centre, you can admire art nouveau façades and a modern skyline.

Visby, one of the best-preserved walled medieval towns (UNESCO), feels like an open-air museum with its city walls, church ruins, cliffs, roses and picturesque harbour.

Stockholm is the city of water, bridges… and ABBA! Its colourful districts, many viewpoints and cosy ‘fika’ moments show how old and new blend seamlessly.

Finally, Copenhagen, the ultimate cycling city, with Nyhavn as its icon: colourful houses along the water and a mix of design, architecture and gastronomy.

This cruise camp is not just about travel and discovery — it’s also about living the language. Participants choose beforehand whether they want to immerse themselves in English or French. On board and during excursions, the chosen language is actively practiced through games, conversations with animators, and interactive challenges. Think role plays, quizzes, theme days, or group activities that put communication first. The focus isn’t on grammar, but on speaking, listening, and building confidence in using the language. The cruise itself offers an inspiring learning environment: its international atmosphere, encounters with travelers from around the world, and stops in various countries make it a natural and fun way to experience a language. Every day combines vacation, adventure, and language enjoyment.

Le transport s’effectue en autocar confortable. Nous demandons d’être présent 30 minutes avant le départ à ton lieu de montée. Les bus partent aussi ponctuellement que possible.

Sur place, nous proposons parfois des activités optionnelles (p. ex. balade à vélo, musée). La liste définitive et les éventuels droits d’entrée seront communiqués quelques mois avant le départ ; toutes les options ne sont pas payantes.

Inclus : cabine intérieure par 4, pension complète à bord, forfait boissons non alcoolisées, dîner de gala, mocktail du capitaine, encadrement linguistique, spectacles, transport (local), taxes portuaires.

Non inclus : petit-déjeuner du jour 1, 6× déjeuner et 1× dîner, droits d’entrée des options choisies, argent de poche (compte ± 95 € pour les repas). Un nombre limité de cabines extérieures avec fenêtre (+ 150 € p.p.).
